2nd Week

This week was very long and it was difficult. I am adjusting to the curriculum and the kids have been great but also troublesome. I always reflect to the quote "Our truest work happens when we serve others, at the intersection between our gifts and our broken world. That’s where we find the work that lasts.". This quote shows me that if I cannot put in my 100% effort into my classroom, I am better off doing something else and I am glad to be with super kids everyday. It is in those moments when I think to myself in the classroom were I realize how critical my job is to the students and also myself. When I am nervous to see the reaction of my adviser because I made a mistake, or when we were at the pool and were enjoying the weather, these are the moments when I see that I am in the right place and I really do care and love this job.

  1. Michael- I really like that quote too. Your work with SuperKids is important, especially to the campers. Remember, you are there Super Hero! Even if only for a short time.
